Tai Tong restaurant is one of the oldest dim sum establishment in Penang. It is believed to established in the 1950s and has appeased the tongue of many Georgetown folks, especially our parents' generation.

On our second day in Penang, we decided to go yum cha at dinner time. Went to Tai Tong Restaurant on Cintra Street, which is one of the oldest and most established dim sum restaurants in town.

Opened in the 1950s, this Cantonese eatery has since become a Penang favourite. Its interior is consistently packed, with queues being common around breakfast. Plates are served traditionally, with staff members wheeling dim sum pushcarts from table to table.
