Tucked away from the bustling commercial areas, Sing Kee Dim Sum is located at the Sri Pelangi flats in Datuk Keramat. If you’re having trouble finding it, just look for Tuck Sai Cafe, which is under the same spot.

Compared to famous dim sum restaurants, this place is underrated. Located in a kopitiam under an apartment, the owner serves very unique homemade dim sum, with kozabi-style recipes.

The food has a rustic, handmade feel. Recommended dishes include char siu bao (!), radish cake, and chicken feet. The atmosphere is very relaxed; it's located under HDB flats and has both open-air and covered seating.

I arrived at 6:30, and there were still some parking spaces available. There were already six or seven tables of diners. The food was good. I ate three dim sum dishes, one sesame bun, and one rice noodle roll.

The taste is good. High-quality ingredients. Affordable price. I like to add a slice of licorice root when ordering tea. The strong tea has a bittersweet flavor, served in a large bag. Worth a try.

None of the dim sum dishes impressed or left a lasting impression. They were just average. The hygiene was poor. Each plate of dim sum cost RM4.
