    Char Koay Teow is highly recommended in Penang. The wok hei is strong, the noodles and kuetiaw are fried with a distinctive smoky flavor and are very delicious. The fresh shrimp, clams and eggs blend well, not too oily.

    Review based on the food alone. Since it's a roadside stall nothing much to comment about. Old couple running the stall. The char koay teow is amongst one of the less tasty and elss wok hei I've tried.

    Uncle’s Charcoal CKT is a great option if you’re in the area. He still prepares the noodles using traditional charcoal, which gives it that authentic, smoky flavor.

    Single plate frying with charcoal stove. There is charred aroma ( wok hei) but the koay teow a bit soggy and a bit undercooked. Depends on your preference. Won't be appreciated by those who prefer the drier version.
