While we were planning for this Penang trip, which mostly involved writing down famous food spots, Mr Bao noted: If we don’t go to this place, did we really go to Penang?? He was referring to this famous Chendul stall in Georgetown.

When one is in Penang, the Penang Road Famous TeoChew Chendul is a must-have especially in our super hot weather. It is a business that not only sustained itself over the years, but has grown to become of the most sought after cendol brands in Malaysia.

Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul.Ice Kacang stall's (blue bowl) chendol is almost identical. But blue bowl's ice is shaved a little coarser, so we have to bite some hard gritty ice (more fun for some).

The best cendol I’ve ever had was in Georgetown, Penang.
I usually like my cendol icy with lumps of teeth numbing ice so I was very disappointed when I got a warm-ish bowl of cendol from the “Penang Most Famous Teochew Chendul” (Yes, that’s its name!).
