Since I was visiting Penang with my makan gang, I asked one of them (who lived in Penang for 4 years) if he knew where this popiah place was. We found it yesterday, but 30 minutes too late. They ran out of crab meat which – I was told – was the highlight of the dish.

The wonder in Penang is the people here are very innovative , food wise that is. It's not about giving funny names like Khor Tsu Koon to the the durians, but innovating a local delicacy into it's own signature.

still stuffed from all the hawker eats earlier i only had space for a small snack so we voted for popiah only as it’s touted to be the best in penang! the fresh spring roll is filled with stewed julienned jicama, diced beancurd and lettuce leaves.
