I ordered the char kway teow and rice vermicelli specials. They were delicious and had lots of large shrimp. All for just 13 RM, so cheap! As a tourist, I appreciate it.

Laid-back and traditional spot with a great vibe. The owner is super friendly, and the coffee hits the spot. I loved the soft-boiled egg toast—simple but perfect. The char kuey teow had that classic wok hei flavor that’s hard to find.

Stayed nearby and knew I was far from the famous hawkers. Was quite skeptical of the ckt reviews but was I wrong! She spent a long time frying thr ckt and it came out rather good and rich in wok hei.

Walking distance from You Le Yuen (Love Lane). Old school style coffee shop with friendly aunties and unkers blowing water in the morning. Char kuay teow and egg toast not bad (buay pai). Loved the sustagenius plates too! Total spent $16.

Char kuey teow to die for. Looks like an unassuming kopitam that you could easily walk past - but it is definitely worth a visit! Went back for the fried bee hoon for breakfast later in our stay, also delicious.
