When I first heard of nasi kandar, my thought was its similarity to economical rice in Singapore, but with an Indian twist! This time round, I strategized and decided to have Deens Maju Nasi Kandar as my last meal before returning to Singapore!

My dad was craving for Nasi Kandar during our recent trip to Penang and I start to google for more nasi kandar options. I even ask the GRAB driver his favourite nasi kandar place and he said Deen Maju.

Forget about Line Clear and Nasi Kandar Beratur; for me the best Nasi Kandar in Penang is served by Deen Maju , located at the fringe of the city's core zone. It is so good that there are long queues of people waiting patiently to be serve.

Deen Maju is not affiliated with Deen Nasi Kandar within Toon Leong Coffee Shop or (the overrated) Restoran Deen in Jelutong. But even if it doesn’t have years of experience in its portfolio, there’s a reason the restaurant is as busy as it is.
